MLS Rules Finder

Every Wisconsin MLS does things a little differently. Pick your MLS and a topic to see how that MLS handles it, the deadline you're up against, and the form you need.

Look up a rule

Which MLS, and what do you need to know?

Pick an MLS to see all of its rules, pick a topic to compare every MLS side by side, or pick both for one quick answer.

Popular topics:

Coming January 1, 2027: 2025 Wisconsin Act 69 requires listing firms to market 1 to 4 unit homes on public internet platforms within 1 business day of the listing start, unless the seller signs a state opt-out form. Expect the WB-1 listing contract and some MLS office exclusive rules to change.

Heads up: These are plain-language summaries of each MLS's own rules, not legal advice. MLS rules change often, so always confirm with the MLS before you rely on a deadline or fine. For questions about a specific listing or transaction, talk with your supervising broker.

Sources: each MLS's published Rules & Regulations, policies, procedures, fine schedules and seller authorization forms, reviewed October 2026 (edition shown above each MLS's results). Badges show where each summary came from: From the MLS rules means it was taken from the MLS's own rules document; From the MLS website means it came from the MLS's public site or handbook; Confirm with the MLS means the rules were silent or unclear. Forms belong to their MLS and are linked for member convenience. Summaries are not legal advice, and the MLS's current rules always control.
